Major Armstrong’s sparkles are real, and can be seen by everyone else. Olivier disposed of hers.

"Olivier, they want me for some mission. I don’t know if I will be coming home from this one." Joseph murmured, as he ran his hand through his wife’s hair. His jaw was set, as he sighed getting off of their bed.
"Listen, I’ll always love you and the kids, you know that right?" He turned back to her, a caring look in his eyes.
His steps crunched against the fresh fallen snow, his eyes watching over everything around them. His flight wasn’t the greatest but it was nice to be coming home to his family, the man just wanted to get back to the fortress. His appearance was completely different from when he left and he was just suspecting something to happen as he came back. Blue irises with red coming in from the pupil, no scruff, a different voice.
Instead of coming in the normal entrance, he went through the stables. He had to check on one of the older horses. Whinnies and nickers came from the large animals as he came to the old one’s stall. “Still kicking?” Joseph murmured to the large black gelding, dropping his things near the gate. “You just had to wait….” He murmured, kneeling next to the animal’s large head. A large heaving sigh came from the horse, as he stared up at his old owner. “I’ll be back, just give me a while… I’ll come back.”
He needed to head back up to their personal quarters, to announce his arrival. If this goes to plan…
Olivier sat up from her spot on their bed, the blanket tucked beneath her arms as she stared down her husband. “I knew there was something you were avoiding telling me!” She hissed out, ice blue eyes narrowed angrily. “You say that but you take these missions and then you can’t tell me where you’re going or when you’ll be back?” She threw a pillow at him, nearly missing him as he moved.
"Your son hasn’t seen you more than a month at a time in the three years since he’s been born!" The blonde glared back at him, ready to just give up completely. "If you loved us, you would at least tell me where you’re going." But she knew that would never happen…
"Momma!" The little girl came running into the office, tears running down her wind reddened cheeks.
Olivier glanced up from her paperwork, raising an eyebrow at her daughter’s behavior. “What is it, Gwen?” She asked, turning in her seat as the boy climbed into her lap and wiped at his eyes, crying quietly into his mother’s shoulder.
"Carter said that he was going to kick my ass later!" Gwen sniffled, hanging on to Olivier for dear life.
Out of the corner of her eye, the exasperated mother could see dark hair looking around the edge of the door. “Carter, I know you’re there.” She said with a sigh and she stood up, holding Gwen to her chest. “Sounds like the both of you need a nap. You always start threatening your sister when you’re tired.” The Major General spoke, reaching for her son’s hand to lead them back to their private quarters for their nap. Surely she could finish her paper work later.
Making a quick trek to their extended quarters, Olivier opened the door and watched as Carter yawned into his hand, arguing that he wasn’t tired the entire time. “Yeah, yeah. Say that after your nap.” Olivier spoke softly, helping Carter into his bed before trying to shake Gwen from her shoulders with no luck. Looks like naptime is taking place on Momma yet again, she thought with a sigh and took to sitting on the loveseat she had put into her quarters many years before the twins had been born.
The silence of the room quickly put both children to sleep, leaving Olivier to her thoughts of what else she had to do that day before she retired. The live of a General and Mother was never done.
I SEE YOU
"Momma! You’re home!" Lily smiled happily and ran to her mother.
"Well if it isn’t the Princess herself!" Olivier chuckled to herself, crouching down to be face to face with her daughter. "Told you I would be back. I trust you kept the boys out of trouble while I was gone?"
"Of course I have. Did you really think your matchstick would really keep me from coming back to Central?"
"I was wondering when you were going to come back up from taking care of that horse of yours."
"I’m looking forward to a trip to Xing in the near future. Should be quite interesting. I hear they have some great weapons out that way…"
Something just isn’t quite right with Olivier’s body. Part one of three.
“Joseph, have I gained weight?” She said, glancing to the man and hoping for some honesty.
Red eyes widened and his lips formed a taunt line. He knew better than to answer those types of questions. That question specifically.
The Parker family has a day off and decides to start it slowly.
The morning came with a lazy start; No morning alarm, no squealing baby to pull them out of bed and force them to start their morning.
